University of Mary Student Government I have served the University of Mary as an at-large senator and public relations officer for three years. During this role, I have had the unique opportunity to impact the whole University. I have been a part of writing proposals, serving on several committees, volunteering at University events, and initiating change on campus.
Day of Service The University of Mary Day of Services involves students from the University of Mary who participate in volunteer and service projects throughout the Bismarck-Mandan area. For the past two years, I have been a project organizer at the Cause for Claws Thrift Store and YMCA. I organized the volunteers and contacted the organizations. Also, I served on the 2016 Day of Service Core team. This has been one of my favorite events at the University of Mary and I look forward to the event during homecoming week 2017.
SEBS Emerging Leaders Academy During my sophomore year, I worked with criminal justice students to create a distracted driving demo on campus. This spring, we raised money for scholarships for Elk's Camp Grassick. I worked with the public relations and business office and had to overcome obstacles during this time. Overall, we put on a successful event and I believe that we impacted not only those who get to now attend the camp with the scholarship money, but also those who attended the event.
