Taking the Initiative to Lead
Over the years, I have become more comfortable taking the initiative to lead. I started to blossom my leadership skills freshmen year of high school when I was elected as secretary/treasurer on my student council. Since then, I have realize that being a leader and a follower is equally important. In every situation, you need people to lead and people to follow or else nothing else gets done. I feel most confident to take the initiative and lead when it is something I am passionate about and comfortable with, especially if I have experience. As Dr. Jonas said, "Don't let fear of failure stop you from taking initiative to lead."
